Our adventure begins in childhood when our grandmothers baked potatoes and served them with salt and butter. After traveling through Europe, we decided to bring this unique concept with a Belgian tradition to the Czech Republic.
The secret of our success is fresh potatoes prepared just before serving. It’s the special potato variety, known for its compactness and a strong flavour that makes our chips unique. Belgian oil, tested by millions of customers, gives the potatoes a great flavour.
This unique delicacy is complemented by traditional Belgian sauces known around the world.
The magic of Bamboly Chips is based on four pillars of success:
The name “brambory” (potatoes) came from the old Czech word for potato tubers – Bamboly. The first mention of bamboly in the Czech land is from 1623, when they were served on the table of Vilem Slavata.
Bamboly in Bohemia began to be grown and consumed on a larger scale in a second half of the 18th century, in connection with the Prussian Wars.
